Harvest Festival

The Elvian School held their Harvest Festival in October and raised money for Christians Aid’s 2009 Harvest appeal.

The charity is working in partnership with Dalit women and their children in Andhra Pradesh, South India. The money raised will go towards training, resourcing and supporting some of the poorest Indian women (formerly known as the untouchables) in agriculture and farming so they can grow and supply food for their family and local communities. 

The School held a special Harvest assembly for parents, led by the school’s Chaplain Reverend Walker. All the pupils took part in the celebrations which included songs, readings, games and quizzes.
